Crestfield Decking was founded by Sam Darwish, a trade professional with over 12 years of hands-on experience building custom decks and fences across the Edmonton area. After years in the industry — including co-owning a successful decking company — he launched Crestfield with one goal: build a company that does it right, every time, under one name he’s proud to stand behind.

Do you handle permits, engineering drawings, and design?
Yes, we handle everything. That includes design, permit applications, engineering drawings, and Alberta One Call. Before any excavation begins on your project, we contact Alberta One Call to locate underground utilities and ensure your build is safe and compliant. You don’t need to coordinate any of this yourself — we manage the entire process from first consultation to final walkthrough.
Do you only build decks or do you handle other outdoor projects?
We specialize in custom decks, pergolas, fences, and railings. Most of our projects involve a combination of these. For example, a multi-level deck with a pergola and privacy fence. We handle everything together so you deal with one company from start to finish.
Who actually shows up to build my deck?
Sam Darwish is personally involved in every project, from the initial consultation through to the final walkthrough. You’re not handing your project off to a subcontractor you’ve never met. The person who quotes your job is the same person overseeing your build.
